I was calculating my finances for next month, what with the purchase of the new Mac mini that I’m going to make soon and I realised that I’m actually a little short! I mean, I can proceed with the purchase, but I will most likely be eating grass for the entire month! I will have to severely cut down on my spending for the month of November and possibly December as well. This is not good news because there are so many upcoming Playstation 3 game releases during those 2 months! Now I have to accept the fact that I would have to delay buying those as well. What a sacrifice.
We all know that in today’s globalised world, China is the world’s factory. But that doesn’t mean we can turn a blind eye to pollution. So I finally bought a 2.5inch HDD with 500GB worth of space. I need it to prepare myself for the great migration. Yes im finally switching over to Mac! Im going to get the new Mac mini online in a couple of weeks and in the meantime, I’d have to start migrating my files over.
Back then I was totally crazy about Slumdog Millionaire. That movie became the best movie I have ever watched in years. I totally did not expect it to be that good. The last time I watched a movie and felt good after watching it was “The Pianist“. That was the only movie that I could recall immediately. when I realized that the movie was actually adapted from a book “Q&A” written by Vikas Swarup, I immediately set forth to read the book. We live in a world where information flows so fast, so freely, so easily that it become second nature to us. It has reached a point, where the fabric of our lifestyles are more of less dictated by what we hear, see and read through social websites. Our lives with other people are increasingly connected, yet distant at the same time.
Ok call me a Mac noob, but you have got to give me some credit for what I have done in 2 hours just by self exploration. I have created a short presentation, using the Keynote presentation software. I used it with minimal help and most of the time was just meddling around with the program, trial and errors along the way. I mentioned the other day that I tinkled with the Mac, well folks, I present you my first presentation done using iWorks 09 Keynote presentation software!
