Respect 0

Aug7

I have seen people who struggle in studies, and life in general while growing up and despite their failures, they sometimes fail miserably at one thing: picking up the pieces and try again. I have also seen people who, despite the struggles, just shrugged it off, like a mere annoyance, and continue on their journey. Despite the difficulties and the long journey they make, at the end of it all, they have accomplished what they set out to do. This latter group of people are the kinds of people whom I have the utmost respect for. And indeed some of my friends, no matter how distant they are, I truly respect them.

One huge Deja vu [sorta] 0

Jul22

Recalling the moments I had with Marios during the five day Freshmen Orientation Camp, I cant help but wonder my own experiences during poly days. Days prior to the first day of school in NYP, I had undergone a similar FOC as the class of 0402. We were champion class as well and it was highly unexpected.

Endless notes 0

Jul22

So I bought 7 or so new folders to store all my new notes for the upcoming semester, and i think its unsustainable. I have 2 waist-level shelves bought from IKEA and I feel that it is already reaching its limit. Those shelves are meant to store my notes from school neatly, since I usually buy the ring binders from Popular and neatly store them according to modules. But every semester, it would fill up the entire shelf space. I have 3 more years to go and I have already used up 2 of the available 6. I just dunno where to store them next.  Theres so many notes to print every time. I already have to resort to printing double sides to save paper and potentially save space, so that i can fit an entire module’s worth of notes on one ring binder. Its such a waste to throw your notes away. After all, it might be useful in the future and a number of the notes are really good. Some are extremely informative and it makes certain concepts easier to understand, without resorting to finding a textbook for the information you want to find.

After attending the NTU SBS FOC 2010, one question popped into my head: Why did I not go for last year’s FOC? It dawned upon me as the single biggest regret and the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life in recent years.

It’s finally over 0

May6

What a year! It’s finally over. My exams that it. So far, looking back, I’m pretty confident that I would do better than the last semester. It was terrible I tell ya. Now I can relax and enjoy my extended holiday. I have a number of stuff that I would like to do during the holidays, and apart from my vacation to Turkey, no doubt I’d like to meet up and hang out with my friends. Let’s not forget pursuing my new found hobby: Photography. For now, lets enjoy my victory song: continue reading »
